TAX CREDITS FOR HOME BUYERS
Congress just extended the $8,000 federal
tax credit for first time home buyers to homes
under contract by April 30, 2010 and closed
by June 30, 2010. There is also a new $6,500
federal tax credit for buyers who are current
homeowners who have lived in their home for
5 of the previous 8 years. These credits, along
with fantastic interest rates, make it a GREAT
time for you to buy your first home, or buy a
new home if you have lived in your current
home for at least five years.
